WA: Beazley says he can hardly believe swing

PERTH, Feb 10 AAP - Arriving at a Labor Party function in Perth tonight, federal Opposition
Leader Kim Beazley expressed delight at the extent of a swing away from the Coalition
and towards Labor in the West Australian election.

"Mate, I can hardly believe it, I can hardly believe it," he said at 10.15pm (WST).

"It's probably too early for any formal call, and anyway it's not a call for me to
make, but there is no question at all that the Labor Party has done exceptionally well.

"And that's a tribute to a campaign that's actually listened to what ordinary West
Australians are saying about themselves and their lives."
